Strawberry Trio was founded by Emily (Violinist) and includes Judith

(Pianist) and Zaida (Cellist).



Emily Sun (Violinist)

As an experienced violin teacher, instructor and orchestral performer, Emily graduated with a Master's Degree in Violin Performance from  McGill University.

Now an active chamber and orchestra musician, she has played with Esprit Orchestra,Toronto Philharmonia, Hamilton Philharmonic orchestra, Oshawa Durham Symphony orchestra, principal second of Cathedral Bluff Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Sinfonietta, Canadian Sinfonietta, Peterborough Symphony, Brampton Lyric Opera, Kitchener Opera and Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra. 


 Judith deHaney (Pianist)

Judith is a graduate of the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto where she received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance.

Later she went on to study with Leslie Kinton at the Glenn Gould Professional School at the Royal Conservatory of Music where she earned an Artist Teacher Diploma.  Ms. deHaney has participated in various Masterclasses given by John Perry, Robert Macdonald and Marc Durand and has studied with Arlene Shrut at The Juilliard School of Music in New York.  

 Ms. deHaney’s role as a Performer, Chamber Musician and collaboratist has enabled her to perform in Toronto, Vancouver, Aspen and Jamaica. She has performed at many venues including the Glenn Gould Studio, Air Canada Centre, Tom Thomson Art Gallery and Victoria College Chapel.  

Judith currrently maintains an active teaching position in the downtown Toronto area.


Zaida Nassirov (Cellist)

Zaida graduated from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2000 with Licentiate in Performance. She received Bachelor of Music through British Columbia's Open University.

Ms. Nassirov is a first prize winner of the Azerbaijan Youth Competition. She toured extensively in Europe, Canada, and the United States as a member of Chamber Orchestra of Old and Contemporary Music. Currently, she plays with Toronto Sinfonietta and Ontario Philharmonic.

Zaida is the Principal Cellist of Northumberland Orchestra since 2001.
Currently, she teaches in Vienna School of Music and Advanced School of Music and Drama
